# Particle Discretizations (DMSWARM)

The `DMSWARM` subclass of `DM` encapsulates a particle cloud, with interfaces for particle data, movement, and interface with meshes. It also can conservatively project fields between the particle basis and an FEM basis on a `DMPLEX`.
